The work of Heidevolk, a Dutch Pagan Folk Metal band, is uniquely inspired by authentic historical en mythical material of their country. Nehalennia, a goddess of fertility and trade, was worshipped by Germanic en Celtic tribes in Zeeland and along the river Rhine. They used to give her offerings to obtain a safe journey across the sea. Only through the influence of the Roman conquerors temples were built and statues were made. Before though the tribes thought that the gods were amongst them, and places of worship were not manmade. With this music video we tried to respect these historical facts as much as possible and created it with a natural feel.
